Dnt know how it happened but my key pads stopped working. when i slide it up the key pad still ights up but doesnt work! I must add im trying to stay away from doing a hard reset!

Hmmm. Ive had the issue since maybe early feb. Thought it was just my device b/c noone mentioned it in any of the forums. Long story short id have to do the battery trick and keep pressing the sleep button over and over for the keyboard to start working. Sprint wouldnt replace it at first cuz everytime id bring it to the store the keyboard would conveniently start working after they hard reset the device. Im thinking it could be an issue with having freeware and it could be one of the applications b/c my new one jus did it this morning. It eventually gets worse and worse until the keyboard stops responding all together.

I am currently on my 2nd touch pro for this issue.  The device seems to stop allowing any inputs from the keypad.  The keypad lights up, but no inputs go into the device from the keypad.   This happens without any freeware installed.  I have experienced the issue in multiple applications. Texting, Excel, Word, etc.  The first device was exchanged after 3 weeks of ownership.  Never dropped, abused, etc. They keypad quit entirely, even after reboots.    Today, my 2nd device started acting up after 1 week of ownership. I did a soft reboot and it recovered. It did it again and I pulled the battery.  This is how the 1st one started out. It locked up again and I went to a Sprint store today and the device started working again.  They had no suggestions other than to return when it totally stops working and they will exchange it.  I have the insurance and would suggest it to anyone who uses this phone!  I miss my MOGUL!!!!!!!!   Look forward to any suggestions or solutions. I truely believe it is a software solution.  No physical damage to either of the devices I have owned.
