Screen won't sleep ...

My HTC Touch Pro screen will not turn off when not in use.  I can press the power button on top but the screen turns back on within in seconds.  I have my battery power settings to turn off the backlight in 30 secs if not used and 1 min if not used when plugged in.

Does anyone have a resolution for this?

Re: Screen won't sleep ...

I am having a very similiar problem does nobody know a solution for this? I don't think my issue is as bad as yours since the screen doesn't come back on immediately after turning it off, but it does turn on by itself randomly and when it does it doesn't turn off on its own like it should. When the screen stays on it gets real hot and of course kills the battery fairly quickly.

So... does anybody have any suggestions?

Re: Screen won't sleep ...

I was starting to think I was the only one.  :(  I contacted HTC directly about this and the other 2 issues.  Needless to say they were absolutely no help at all.  I was told to do a hard reset which of course resets the phone to the out of the box default settings.  And of course when that didn't work I was told to take the phone back to the retailer.

Re: Screen won't sleep ...

I noticed that mine seems to happen more when I'm in my basement. I think the connectivity is low down there so it might be switching back and forth between connection strengths. Does that generally make the screen turn on if something with the connection is changing?
