It's not too bad once you know what to do. Just copy and paste to windows There may be a simpler way but this is how I do it.  Go to programs> all programs> file explorer (you'll be at my device)> my documents> my ringtones> (press and hold your selected ringtone a menu comes up) > copy > (press up in the lower left corner until you get back to my device) >windows (scroll all the way to the bottom where there's a free space, press on the free space and hold until the menu comes up) > paste (now once you go back to select your ringtone for a new text message it will be there. And you will be able to use it for any of your sounds and notifications.

I plug my phone into the computer and go to the "start menu" on the computer. go to "computer" . Find your phone on it.  click on the phone storage....not the storage card. go to appliance data, and go to sounds. Keep that window open. Go back to the start menu and pull up another window with your phone on it this time go to "my document" on your phone instead of "appliance data"...copy and paste ringtones to sounds and there you go!
