Opera is making me NUTS!

Does anyone know how to change the default browser on the HTC TouchPro?   I just want to set it to IE.    I can't deal with Opera any more.

Thanks

You might want to consider Skyfire.  I played around with Opera on my wife's Touch and was not really impressed.  It seemed a bit better than IE, but not nearly as good as Skyfire.  Skyfire is not perfect, but it is the best mobile browser I have found so far....  You should be able to download directly to your phone for free at:

Good Luck!

Re: Opera is making me NUTS!

I'll give it a try.   But what I really want to know is how to change the DEFAULT browser on the Touch Pro.    If I follow a hyperlink sent to me in an e-mail, the Touch Pro will launch OPERA.    I want to tell it to use IE or Skyfire.     That I can't figure out.

When you download Skyfire, you have the option during its setup to set Skyfire as your default browser.  I had it on my Mogul, and just put it on my TouchPro.  Way better in my opinion than Opera or IE.

Re: Opera is making me NUTS!

It didn't ask me to make it the default browser on installation, but it did ask me when I accessed it via Program.   The Touch Pro seems to use it now when I follow a link from my e-mail, but I still get Opera when I try to get more information from the weather application.

I do like Skyfire - Thanks for the tip.

Susan
